Due to Pongal holidays, Anna University postponed its exams which were scheduled to commence from January 12. Pongal holidays for all schools and colleges have been declared by the Tamil Nadu and will begin from Friday. Due to holidays, the exams will commence from January 18.
A circular was released in this regard and was sent to all the state Universities by the higher education secretary Sunil Paliwal.
The decision for holidays was taken as students will be traveling to their native places during this time of the festival. Anna University also had to postpone its exam due to heavy rainfall in November.
