Soon, Delhi University will declare its 10th cut-off list for the students belonging to the general category. Earlier, the university released eighth and ninth cut-off list which were part of special drive for the students belonging to the reserved category.
University said that they will declare a fresh cut-off since there are still some vacant seats in the colleges for the students belonging to the general category.
“This list will be for colleges which have seats vacant in a few courses. The eighth and ninth list was part of a special drive for those in reserved categories. Hence, we are keeping the 10th list for general candidates,” said Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, Deputy Dean, Studentsʼ Welfare. Gurpreet is also a member of the admissions committee.
This year the university had its first special drive whose main aim was to fill all the seats reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Castes, People with Disabilities, Children of War Widows, Kashmiri Migrants as also those under sports and extra-curricular activities quota.
A University official said that after the tenth cut-off list the university will finally close the admissions. This year university offered 56,000 seats across its 61 colleges.
