Observing that eligible candidates had been left out and the ineligible candidates were called for interviewed and selected, the Delhi Technological University has to quash the appointment of teachers who have not met the minimum criteria for recruitment.

The committee members, who had been a part of the selection process, have been barred to participate in such a process in future. The positions of professor and associate professor were advertised. The report was submitted by July, 2014

The former VC, under whose surveillance these violations took place, was on a leave pending inquiry and then retired.

The Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE) has sent a letter on March 4 to the new VC of DTU conveying the LG's directions.

To conduct an inquiry of the charges of corruption in 2012 in the recruitments at DTU LG Najeeb Jung had established a three member committee which was supervised by the former chief secretary of Delhi, R Narayanaswami.

However no action has been taken on the findings yet. The letter addressed to the VC directs the DTU administration on the measures it has to take now.
