As reported by the Directorate of Education (DOE), a surprise inspection conducted by the Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister of Delhi Mr.Manish Sisodia at various government schools revealed that many classrooms were without teachers and the students were roaming all around the campus of the school. So in order to ensure that there are no irregularities in the attendance of the teachers and punctuality and discipline is maintained in the classroom, Delhi government has decided to hold the principals of the school accountable for any “indiscipline” that takes place inside the school.

As said by a senior official, actions will be taken against the principals of the government schools if any kind of indiscipline takes place in the school. To ensure the same, the government has formed inspection teams consisting of the members of the School Management Committee (SMC), who will be in charge of the inspection of the schools and will give reports on the same which can be accessed by Sisodia’s office. Furthermore, strict actions will be taken against the schools which are not able to keep a check on cleanliness and the presence of the teachers and the students in their classrooms.
