In order to gain electoral knowledge the Delhi Government has asked the private schools to take their students to the election museum. This exercise is a voluntary exercise. The slot for the Election museum visit is to be booked through the election commission’s website.

The election museum is titled ‘Journey Through Elections’ is developed within the office premises of the Election commission. It has been established to create an environment and learning place to know about the past elections of the country and how the elections are managed.

The Election Museum is situated in the old building of St. Stevens College; the building also houses the Delhi State Election Commission.

The museum displays the ballot boxes from the first elections that were held in India in the year 1952.

The museum also has vast collection of old black and white photographs which show the various elections held across the country.

A special voters’ pledge section is also developed inside the museum. The visitors can take the pledge here along with the selfie.
