The government is planning to launch a defence university as informed by the state assembly. Now the Class 12 passed students will be eligible to get training in the defence university.

The university will be shortly opened in Jharkhand and training will be given for three or five years to the Class 12 students.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that with the help of this training the youth will be in shape to get recruitments in The Indian Air Force, Indian Army or Police services in future.

Also the government has been requested to set up technical universities along with the universities in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha by the Speaker Dinesh Oraon.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy informed the speaker that rules are being prepared for implementing the Jharkhand Technical Institute Act, 2011.With this the possibilities of technical universities in Jharkhand will become brighter. The BJP MLA Radhakrishna Kishore further probing asked the places where these will be set up. These technical institutes will be set up in Palamau and Chhotanagpur divisions.
