The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 (CTET 2018).
Candidates, who are interested in applying for the exam can visit the official website -- ctet.nic.in and check the various details such as eligibility criteria, paper pattern, vacancies, and important dates etc.
CBSE will conduct the 11th edition of the CTET 2018 exam on Sunday, September 16, 2018, in 92 cities across all the nation. The online application process for the same will begin from June 22, 2018, and the last date for submitting the online application will be July 21, 2018.
CTET exam pattern
Candidates who wish to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5 will have to appear for the paper 1.
Candidates who wish to be a teacher for classes 6 to 8 will have to appear for the paper 2.
Exam timings
Paper II – 9.30 am to 12.00 pm
Paper I – 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must have at least 50 percent marks in the Senior Secondary and should have passed or appear in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE regulations, 2002.
- Candidate must have 50 percent marks in the Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and has passed or appeared for the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Candidate must have 50 percent marks in the Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and has passed or appeared in the final year of the 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Has completed the graduation and passed or appearing in final year of the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
