All CBSE books and learning material to be made available online for free- such an announcement was made by Union HRD minister Smriti Irani.
The Centre to launch initiatives immediately so that parents can analyze the performance of their child in Kendriya Vidyalayas from the next academic year. The HRD Minister stated this while she was inaugurating a new Kendriya Vidyalaya building in East Delhi.
NCERT books have already been started being available online for free through e-books and mobile applications since a month-and-a half, confirmed the minister.
Officials in her ministry have been instructed by her to organize and conduct Child Conventions. These conventions would help students in becoming good human beings as these would include meetings between children and professionals from various fields (that would include defense as well).
In the next academic year, services that will be introduced in Kendriya Vidyalayas are 'Shaala Darpan' and 'Saransh'. These to be launched by center said the minister. In 'Shaala Darpan' service, SMS will be sent to parents about their child's attendance, time table and marks in exams.
Under the service, 'Saransh', comparison will be done of the results of the children subject-wise with others at different levels (district, state and national levels). It will help parents.
