Aptara, a global leader in digital content and new media production announces its third Annual Employee Art Exhibition. The corporate sponsored exhibit will showcase the creative talents of graphic artists and designers from Aptara's New Media Division. It will be featured in Pune's Ark Art and Frames Gallery, from Friday, February 24 through Sunday, February 26, 2012.

The exhibit includes the work of over 48 artists, each with their own style, method, and medium. Some paint professionally and have had their work included in art shows across India. Others pursue their artistic passions purely for creative expression. All works of art on display are available for purchase, with 100% of the proceeds going to the artists. "The award-winning interactive and rich media applications that these artists design and develop for our clients are just the tip of the iceberg," said Dev Ganesan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aptara. "It is a privilege to be able to offer this unique outlet to our talented staff. Their personal creative endeavors deserve wider exposure."

"This year's third annual exhibition is a tribute to the success of our first two exhibitions in which our designers received the satisfaction of selling their personal works to local residents and to Aptara customers from around the world," commented Shubhada Phadke, head of Aptara's Graphic Design division and one of the show's organizers. "While we work on digital art professionally for our clients, many of us still enjoy pursuing our creative energies after hours."

The 2012 exhibit features realistic and semi-realistic landscapes, portraits, conceptual paintings, modern art and human figure studies, miniature mythological drawings and still life pieces in various mediums including oils, acrylics, pencils, water colors, crayons, mixed media, digital art, and collages. This year's exhibit features a new category, Paper Quilling, which is the art of creating delicate strips of rolled paper and shaping them into intricate designs.
