COMED-K entrance test to be conducted on May 7, 2017

COMED-K (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka entrance test) will be held on May 7, 2017 and the date has been announced by Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPCEA) for COMED (UGET-2017). This entrance exam will be held only for admission in the engineering & Architecture courses, i.e. B.Tech and B.Arch.  With the beginning of National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 for medical students, COMED-K will host only engineering entrance exams. Aspirants attempting this exam must be 10+2 pass outs and must secure a minimum total score of 45% (40% for SC/ST, OBC candidates of Karnataka).). Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, with English as a subject in the qualifying exam.

This will be an online entrance examination which will be conducted in several cities across India to facilitate the students. Candidates who will clear this test will be eligible to get admission in one of the 150 engineering colleges in the state. There are around 20,000 seats for which colleges listed under the KUPCEA will offer admission in engineering stream.

An MCQ pattern will be followed in this exam. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics would be the main subjects and candidates have to answer 60 questions from each subject, in the duration of 3 hours. For every correct answer, there will be one mark and no negative mark for any wrong question.

The final result will be declared only for the candidates who have secured qualifying marks. Based on the results colleges will prepare the merit list and invites will be sent out to eligible candidates.
