In a trail of events that promote the learning about history and chapters on India's powerful personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Swami Vivekananda and CK Nadu. Now, chapters of these famous personalities will now be introduced in various subjects in Rajasthan University.
The curriculum revision committee of the university has decided to put on these new chapters of the Indian leaders. As per the new rules, Indian epics and yoga has been made part of the curriculum. Naveen Mathur, convener of the curriculum revision committee said,
"Inclusion of a chapter on Swami Vivekanand will enlighten young generation on how a yogi is behind concepts like globalization, corporate social responsibility and trusteeship. Foreign authors have built theories on concepts coined by Swamiji. We have tried to put forth the real man behind these concepts. His contribution for spiritualism in management is the most underrated work as it was hijacked by foreign authors. The book introduced in the curriculum has extracts of Vivekanand's speeches and research work done on him. The commerce department of the university says that his focus on value-based living is relevant in present times and that students will benefit from the same."
"The views of Mahatma Gandhi on corporate social responsibility, role and rights of labors and trusteeship are explained in a chapter on Gandhi. It describes the role of Gandhian principles in shaping the corporate social responsibility by Tata Group. "Tatas still reflect Gandhian values, which in turn reflect Indian value system till date. The chapter on Gandhi also elaborates his vision on inclusive growth, concept on independent villages and trusteeship," he added.
This initiative of introducing chapters of Indian leaders will definitely help the students to know about these personalities and learn from the perfect spirit of education and the subject related.
