The Delhi government has introduced a new fellowship program for the young guns who have the capability to work for the welfare of the education sector. The programme is named as 'Change-makers in Education Fellows'.
The proposed fellowship programme will have 54 fellows from a variety of academic disciplines and the age limit is set for 35 years. These individuals will work for the betterment of the education in the nation. They will work under the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). This fellowship program aims to promote outstanding youth belonging to the education sector to strengthen its policies for education.
"Designed as a special programme over a minimum period of one year (extendable to another year) to identify and entrust a cohort of individuals whose expertise in education and passion for strengthening and improving the quality and standard of education", an official statement said.
In this, the committee needs to appoint 54 fellows at Rs. 40,000 per month for a period of 12 months, which is extendable to two years. The programme was approved by the Council of Ministers on Friday.
