CBSE to begin pre-exam counseling from February 1, 2018

CBSE is also providing the counseling for the differently abled students and for this purpose four special educators have been appointed by the CBSE

CBSE board exams are near and for the 21st consecutive year CBSE will provide the psychological counseling services to students which will help them in dealing with the exam related stress.

The pre-exam counseling session will begin from February 1, 2018 and will continue till April 13.

Toll-Free Access in India

A toll free number has been provided by the CBSE which students can call from any part of the country. The number is 1800 11 8004.

General queries will be handled by the operators and in case of exam related stress or anxiety, students will be connected to the principals or counselors

From today, the toll free number will be functional from 8 AM to 10 PM until April 13.

CBSE is also providing the counseling for the differently abled students and for this purpose four special educators have been appointed by the CBSE

Participants in the counseling

  • This year, there are 91 principals participating in the counseling along with the trained Counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools, few Psychologists and Special Educators.
  • 71 of these counselors are available in the India while 20 are located in Nepal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Al-Khobar), Sultanate of Oman, UAE (Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al-Khaimah), Kuwait, Singapore, Qatar and Japan
