Lakhs of students across the country have been anxiously waiting for the CBSE to announce the board results. And the time has finally arrived. The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) would announce the class 12th results tomorrow, i.e. 21st May.
The results for all the regions would be declared simultaneously at 12 noon. Shortly after the announcement of the results, the board would resume the second phase of telecounselling which would go on till 4th June.
As many as 10,67,900 students registered to write the class XII exam this year. The highest number of candidates was registered from the Delhi zone. It should be noted that CBSE also has many schools outside India, results of which, would come out tomorrow as well.
The number of differently abled students who registered for the exam was 1,921. The class XII CBSE exams were held from March 1st and April 22nd this year. Last year, the number of students registering for the exam were 10,40,368.
There were concerns among the students earlier this month when news of a delay in results was spread via social media. But the HRD minister Smriti Irani clarified that the results would be declared on time, before May ends. She has also directed all the state boards to declare their results before 31st May.
