A new notification further expanded the syllabus of Physics in the board examinations for class XII students. According to the official copy of the notification, some extra sub topics would be a part of the Class XII Physics exam in March 2015.
Albeit the CBSE already included these topics in its syllabus earlier, there was certain confusion among the students since the changes weren't present in the prescribed NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training) books. Although the original notification about this change came out in July 2014, a number of schools didn't cover it in the lectures. Keeping the same in mind, the CBSE has taken a step forward by uploading the required content online.
The new sub topics included are added under the chapter 'communication system'. The new sub topics are GPS (global positioning system), Internet and Mobile telephony.
CBSE's chairman, Vineet Joshi was quoted saying that "These are already part of the syllabus announced earlier. But we realized that these sub-topics are not there in the prescribed NCERT books. Though we had issued the content, many schools asked us again. We found out that these schools didn't get it. So we decided to upload them in the public domain so students and teachers know what to study,"
