CBSE successfully conducted the Accountancy exam of class 12 on March 29, 2017. Accountancy subject is an important part of the commerce stream and it also, opens immense career opportunities for the students of commerce streams such as business, CA, finance etc.

Verdict of the students on the question paper

Majority of students who appeared for the accountancy exam found section A to be the most difficult part of the exam as the section included a 4 mark question which was out of the syllabus.

Analysis of the Accountancy exam

  • Part A, which consisted of questions on partnership firm and companies has 17 questions in total.
  • Part B consisted of 5 questions and questions were asked from Analysis of financial statements.

Overall the exam was lengthy except for few questions which were unexpected. Journal entries were asked from admission and retirement which were unexpected and there was no question from comparative or common size statements which was totally expected.

The questions from cash flow statement were easy and expected. Overall the exam was easy and most of the students attempted all questions.

After the exam Twitter overflowed with the tweets showing various reactions and emotions from the students.
"Today's CBSE accountancy exam of class 12 was too difficult beyond our imagination. Take necessary steps!" has been posted by Shruti Dhingra (handle: ShrutiDhingra3).

"Today's CBSE accountancy paper was so tough. Are these exams are for testing knowledge or ignorance?" (handle: RRS1409), another Twitter post by RAMASESHAN which questioned the difficulty of the question paper.
