The MBA admissions in state's private colleges were stayed by the Bombay High Court as a part of its interim order. The decision was taken by the bench consisting of Justice M Sonak and Justice V M Kanade after hearing the petitions filed by some MBA aspirants who were of the view that there were certain irregularities in this year's MBA Common Entrance Test.

The state's department of technical education had gone ahead and stayed the MBA admissions by itself after the students complained in the matter. The state High Court has asked for a hearing of the case before varied branches including the branches at Aurangabad, Nagpur and Mumbai on 28th April.

The MBA CET was conducted on March 14th and March 15th in four different batches. This year's exam has been in controversy due to a number of reasons such as mass copying and technical glitches. According to the DTE, as many as 59 questions in the exams were void.
