Since last two years, Bihar board had been in news for all the wrong reasons. First, it was due to toppers scam and now it is because some students of the board have scored more than the total marks of the exam.

According to the reports from Times of India, many students have scored more than total marks allotted for the particular subject. Some students even scored the marks in subjects they did not appear in for the exam.

Bhim Kumar from Arwal district scored 38 out of total 35 marks in the math theory exam and 37 out of 35 in the objective type questions. "I am not shocked because such things have been happening in the state board exams for long,' he said to TOI.

Another student named Janvi Singh scored 18 marks in the Biology paper in which she was absent.

However, this year despite the low pass percentage of the students in the board exams, Kalpana Kumari emerged as the topper of the board exams and as well as of the NEET entrance exam.

This year, more than 11 lakh students appeared for the intermediate exams conducted by the Bihar board. Of all the students only 53 percent managed the clear the exams and 1000 students were expelled for cheating during the exams.
