The state of Arunachal Pradesh entered the record books today when it became the 1st Indian state to witness the launch of 'web-based educational program'.

Launched in collaboration with Google, this program would cater to all the schools in the state. The first stage would see the program being kicked off in 50 schools, which would be expanded further after assessing the outcomes.

The major aim behind this program is increasing the influence of web technology inside the classroom and swelling the productivity.

Nabam Tuki, the state's Chief Minister was quoted saying "Main inspiration is that it simplifies the teaching process and students can easily understand the process of teaching. Everything will be connected here through the laptop. Books will be there but along with the books, it will be an easier way of teaching and understanding. So students can gain a lot of benefit,"

To ensure effective implementation of the program, the Government plans to resolve all the communication issues and establish a state of the art educational infrastructure.

The major problems faced by the northeast region in the country include its landlocked location, regional disturbances and frequent agitations.

The success of this program would provide the option of study from home to the students which, in turn, would help them stay focussed on their studies.

Tuki further added "We have talked to the central government for the connectivity problem and they have promised that it will be taken care of within this year. They have said that in order to solve the internet problem broadband will be used. After that this problem will be solved,"

Post the successful implementation of this program, the learning and education process in the state would get a much needed boost.
