The application portal for the Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) 2019 has been opened by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The online application portal will close on December 24. Once the application process is over, candidates will be allowed to rectify mistakes in the application form on December 25 and December 26.

STET exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for the selection of Secondary School Teachers and Paper 2 will be conducted for the selection of Higher Secondary School Teachers.

To be eligible for paper 1, candidate must be a graduate in relevant subject with B.Ed. From recognized University/Institute. For paper 2, applicant must have a PG degree in relevant subject along with the B.Ed.

For the candidates of General category, qualifying marks in STET exam are 50 percent and for the reserved category, qualifying marks are 45 percent. The scores of the STET exam are valid for seven years and based on the marks obtained, a candidate can apply for the teacher recruitment with the Bihar Government.
