Andhra University School of Distance Education is all set to transform itself into digital university and in this process Tata Consultancy Services will help the Andhra University.
The global IT service provider on Tuesday announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with the Andhra University which will help the students in accessing the courses online which are provided by the university.
As a part of the agreement, AUSDE will deploy the TCS iON platform which will help the university to bring all its key services such as student admissions, academic course content, exam management etc. online.
TCS said in a statement "With the services of AUSDE going online, students will be able to enroll onto and access courses of their choice, pay fees, get their examination hall tickets and also see their examination results, all of these, at a click of a button".
The iON platform by TCS is a comprehensive end-to-end solution, which enables the university to digitize all its functions and services completely. The platform also provides solution which helps in simplify learning, teaching and support processed which focuses on educational excellence.
"We are delighted to enter into an agreement with TCS and be a part of the Digital India movement. Our plan ahead is to expand this initiative to the regular stream of education in addition to the distance education program," said Andhra University Vice Chancellor G. Nageswara Rao.
