The upcoming capital city of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati to
witness growth in terms of education as The Amity University announced on
Tuesday that it will set up a campus there.
The setting up will take a year, so it will be functional (i.e. admissions to start) by 2017.
To act on this one, Atul Chauhan, chancellor and president of the university led a delegation at Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's residence telling him about the various courses, the university offers.
The Amity University started in 2005 and till then it has never looked back as it has set up 11 universities, 20 campuses and 18 schools. Atul Chauhan suggested that the faculty is experienced with strength of students across the world.
He further added that their university was set up with an aim to provide standardized education such that foreign students come and study in it. He wants to transform Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge and education hub by setting up their university.
Chief Minister too suggested the same vision of bestowing upon Andhra best universities so that students can greatly benefit from it. He also said that students of the state have great potential to excel so; he would want a university which offers quality education with values.
He asked the delegation led by Chauhan to develop best campuses by bringing international expertise. He further suggested offering joint degree programmes for students in collaboration with foreign universities
