Delhi University has been in the news for various reasons over the past few years. The change in Delhi University's college classes proceeds for the third year.

Tumult began with the presentation of the semester framework in 2009-10. It deteriorated in 2013-14 when DU presented the four-year undergrad program (FYUP).

This year, there is yet another change in college classes with the Choice-Based Credit System supplanting semesters from the present scholastic session, which began on Monday.

What's more, sources said, a comparative notice will be issued for first-year students who had neglected to qualify with a pre-condition that they'll clear their first-year papers in the 2015-16 session. This will spare one year of about 8% first-year students who fizzled the test (2014-15 session).

Unsuccessful first-year students along these lines elevated will need to take every one of the papers they neglected to clear in the second year. This additionally holds for unsuccessful second-year students elevated to third year. To the extent first-year students are concerned, two years back in 2013 the individuals who fizzled were permitted to sit in higher classes. FYUP was presented in 2013 by bad habit chancellor Dinesh Singh.

The individuals who neglected to clear the first-year exams that year were from the semester framework. "That time the students were advanced in light of the fact that generally there would have been two arrangements of first-year students"”a FYUP bunch and one more of the three-year semester framework. To maintain a strategic distance from that, the college advanced them with the goal that a solitary framework keeps running in the first-year group," a senior DU organization authority said.

Yet, in 2014 the undergrad structure changed after the University Grants Commission made DU move back FYUP.

After the three-year semester framework again supplanted FYUP, in July 24, 2014 the college issued a warning which said that first-year students (FYUP clump) who neglected to clear their exams must take re-confirmation in first year under the three-year structure. These students were admitted to the first year again as normal students.
