The registration date for the AIIMS PG exam has been postponed to October 18. Earlier, the registration process was scheduled to begin from October 6, 2018, for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) entrance examination. Now, the registration facility for the exam will be available for the candidates from October 18 on the official website -- aiimsexam.org.
The entrance examination for the AIIMS PG is held bi-annually, usually in January and July. For the January 2019 session, the registrations had started on August 31, 2018 and exam for the same is scheduled on November 18. The admit cards for the exam will be released in the first week of November.
AIIMS PG exam offer admissions to the candidates to five MDS programs along with approx. 499 MD/MS seats in Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences. Apart from the main center at Delhi that was established in 1956. There are six more centers of AIIMS across the nation in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh.
AIIMS PG eligibility criteria
- The medical aspirant should have an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
- Candidate must have completed one year of rotating internship on or before January 31, 2019.
- The general category candidates are required to have secured a minimum of 55 percent aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have scored an aggregate of 50 percent.
