A three day national conference of Innovation in Educational Administration is beginning tomorrow. The venue of the conference is Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra, New Delhi. The conference has been organized by the National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), New Delhi. In the conference about 150 district and block level education officers from across India and resource persons and faculty of the university are participating and main focus of the conference will be on the innovations done by the district and block level officers. The conference will act as an ideal forum for learning and sharing of experiences.
The main focus of the conference is to recognize and bring in light the innovative ideas adopted by the district and block level education officers for the purpose of development at institutional and school level. Educational officers at the field level form an important link between administration at the system level and management of education at institutional level. Their role is crucial when it comes to implementation of policies and programs at the field level.
At the end of the conference, National Award for innovation in Educational Administration will be presented by the Prakash Javadekar.
Key note speaker at the inaugural session will be Prof. Akhtar Siddqui, Professor of Education at Jamia Millia Islamia, and former Chairman, National Council of Teacher Education. There are other education experts as well which will address the conference during the three days in which more than 100 cases of innovation and best practices will be presented before the audience.
