It looks like that after the increase in performances of students in the final chartered accountancy (CA) exam in the last three chances, dipped in the November 2015 exam.

The success rate of candidates in May was 8.25% which is now 5.75% i.e. dropping by 2.45%. The results of the final CA exam were announced on Sunday by Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI). Only 2440 students cleared out of 42,469 students who appeared in both the groups together in November 2015.

The final exam of CA is conducted two times in a year and last time a poor rate was recorded in November 2013 when only 3.1% candidates passed the exam.

 It was observed that the number of candidates have increased by 50% in the last six exams (those who appear for it). For example- In May 2013, 27, 556 candidates appeared for the exam growing to 42,500 this time.

The toppers are- James Britto from Chennai bagged the first rank with 74.38% in the November exam, N Mohan Kumar (71.5%) from Tirupati scored second rank and Avinash Sancheti (70.75%) from Kolkata came third.

It was Britto's first attempt at the exams similar to Sancheti who is 22 years old. Sancheti wants to opt for teaching career along with his consultancy work.
