A Global opportunity at Global Entrepreneurship Summit

A Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is being organized by entrepreneurship cell of IIT Kharagpur at their campus from January 8-10. Here, well known speakers will be invited from across the globe providing an opportunity and entrepreneurial platform for academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, and students.

The previous editions of GES was delighted by the presence of speakers such as Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Rajat Sharma, founder CEP of India TV and Dominique Trempont who is well known as a serial entrepreneur and was a very close business aide of Steve Jobs. This year's speaker's names have not been announced yet. For building the entrepreneurial acumen of participants, workshops are in the pipeline by companies such as Bombay Stock Exchange, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Flipkart, Amazon Web Services etc.

The activities at GES include the final round for business model competition called Empresario. Its first round closed in October. Then, a start-up camp will be held, as name suggests, it will be helping start-up companies to recruit the finest talents among GES participants. The camp is a platform for students and for those just starting to meet venture capitalists and angel investors.
