As expected, the number of DU applicants has surpassed everyone's expectations. While the offline enrolment is yet to open for the 54,000 seats, Delhi University has gotten more than one lakh online applications for admission to different college classes offered by the head organization.

"The aggregate number of candidates who enrolled online till 5.30pm on Saturday is 1,13,278 of which 52,479 have paid," said Malay Neerav, joint dignitary of understudy welfare.

The online enrolments, which opened on May 28 and will proceed till June 15, on Saturday incorporated 36,118 applications by general category students, 10,493 from OBC, 4,799 belonging to scheduled castes, 987 from scheduled tribes and 110 PWD (persons with disability) candidates, he said.
