Reservation is a support made for unprivileged classes which are below than other category having existence in the society. Law of reservation includes reservation for women, physically challenged, backward classes, etc. law has been made for the upliftment of the society so that everyone can get equal opportunity. This was to give equal importance to those who are equally capable to general quota candidates but not getting chance to win the race because they come under lower categories.
Now the dice has been flipped opposite. The support has been changed to an undue advantage. Now the purpose for which reservation system was introduced is not being served in the right way. This has led to unfair practices to get reserved seats in the competitive market. False documents are being made & ineligible candidate is entering into competitive sector. It has become a controversial issue in India. In the time of globalization, do you still think, reservation system is going to work?
Reservation is allowing an incompetent person to reach heights but unable to fulfill the big organization's requirement. Steps should be taken to ensure quality education or free education in the society rather than introducing reservations in education. Reservation is creating a workforce which is incompetent & partial. Deserving candidates are still struggling to get set in such a competitive world. For the growth & development of the society, proper policies are needed to be formulated. They are not letting the competition to go fair & true. We can clearly see that no matter how a general quota student working hard to get an IAS seat, the one enjoying the reservation system & with less competencies, is getting the cherry of life.
Yes, we respect the healthy competition. Make them capable of fighting it fairly. Everyone wants there caste to be included in the law now. India is the only country where people fight for caste & religion the most. Reservations were to ensure that minorities are not discriminated in job selections and promotion & uplifting the society but none of the practices really worked.
Merit should be basis of education, not on the basis of caste or religion. In fact education can't be achieved by reservation.
