Bihar has never been the brightest of states when it comes to education. The state education board has always been under scrutiny. The students of the state have been under achievers. The level of education provided to the student in this part of the country is not satisfactory. There are not enough good schools across the state in order to provide good education to the students.
Many children in this part of the country do not go to school for their education. However there was a survey in order to check how things are now. There were certain things that came to the front. 51% of the students going to schools were girls. And most of the students were from the backward classes. The survey suggested that the interaction between the school and the parents were to be increased.
All students need to be given a fair chance to be educated. However there were a few positives as well from the survey. One of the most important things that came across was that now there were more students in the schools compared to earlier days. This was a boost from the survey. The board has done its bid to educate people.
While the survey was on the people involved in the survey came across Kartahan Bujurg Purvi Navsrijit Primary School. This school had just the one teacher in it. There were 5 classes and only one teacher had to look after the 5 classes. One of the classes was in an open verandah which had no roof. The place was neatly cleaned and there was no dirt anywhere. The place was peaceful as well. The attendance of the school was very good as 130 students were present out of the 138 students.
Two women who were approaching the school were enquired by the people. They said that their children studied in that school. They were proud that their children were getting good education in that school. They also said that the female teacher was on leave but she would be joining soon. They also praised the teacher for the good work he was doing.
One of them said that her daughter was in the middle school. The middle school was not as good as this school. This school was good and it could be better if the government could send a couple more teachers to this school. A lot of care was taken in this school and that is the reason that the students in this school were doing well.
The school master came and cleaned the place himself. When he started some of the neighbors helped him. He said that for studying in clean environment they needed to support him. Now there is no more cow dung in that place and the place is clean. The neighbors also keep an eye on the school to help the village school master. The education in Bihar seems to be improving with time.
