The consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED K) conducts an examination for the students who are willing to get enrolled in medical and engineering degree courses as offered by the various universities all across India affiliated with COMEDK. It offers an admission test called COMEDK UGET (undergraduate entry test) which needs to be passed for securing a merit position in the final results.

When will COMEDK 2018 be conducted?

Those who are going to appear this year in COMEDK hold their breaths as the test will be conducted on May 13, 2018, as the test will decide the fate of many. The test will be conducted in many major cities across India and offers admission to various undergraduate courses in 150 engineering colleges, 12 medical colleges, and 25 dental colleges.

What is the course span of these courses?

The BE course offered by COMEDK UGET is a 4-year program while that of MBBS is 4 and a half years. While the course span of BArch is five years and BDS is four years.

Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK 2018

Candidates in the state of Karnataka who is seeking admissions in various engineering, dental and medical colleges associated with COMEDK must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to appear in the exam this year:

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Courses

Candidates looking forward to applying for engineering courses must ensure if they fall on the criteria:

·The Higher Secondary School course must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as a compulsory subject.

·Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 45% and should pass these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory along with Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology as an optional subject.

·The candidates who have diplomas are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for Architectural Courses:

The following candidates will be eligible to apply:

·Those who qualified Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

·The candidates must have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) as conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 /200 marks for both General Merit and Category students.

Important:

·Architecture aspirants don’t need to take COMEDK UGET 2018. They only have to fill a separate application form for COMEDK UGET 2018 to seek admission.

Simple Steps to follow to Appear for COMEDK 2018:

1.First of all, get registered through its online website by filling an application form. The fee for the test is Rs.1200.

2.Download COMEDK UGET 2018 Admit card required for the entry in examination halls. The admit cards will be made available in the month of April.

3.The aspirants must appear on the announced date in examination halls at least an hour before the time given on admit cards.

4.Check your COMEDK UGET 2018 result in the month of May. The lists will soon appear after the conduction of test where you can see your scorecards with merit positions, total marks, and marks in each subject. Only for those who conducted the test.

5.Aspirants who passed the test will soon be called in the month of June/July for COMEDK UGET 2018 counseling.
