Introduction – A Brief Introduction
Singapore is situated at the Southern Tip of Malay Peninsula. It is the most prosperous country and has one of the world’s most busiest ports. It is both an island and a country. An island between Indonesia and Malaysia, it is known for its amazing night life and adventure sports like mountain biking, water skiing rock climbing, etc. An extremely politically stable country with high class infrastructure and strong economy, the country is an excellent destination for students, at cheaper prices than USA , UK and Australia.
The common foods there are Hokkien Mee, Char kwayteow, chicken rice, crabs, satay, Kopi and Kaya toast. The common dressing clothes are sari, but specifically a navi style , baju kurug, flapper costumes. There are very few racism cases against their own minorities, and there are three main races : Chinese Indian and Malay.

Visa – What and How
1.Visa and Student Authorization Procedure:
You need to first of all apply in Universities and get an acceptance letter to apply for a Student Visa. The application requirements should be sent to the immigration section of Singapore High Commission. The documents should be originals or photocopies notarized or witnessed by t magistrate accompanied by a duplicate copy.
2.Documents required for the student visa:
- Forms V 36 and V 16
- Two photographs on matt paper of a specific size
- Acceptance letter from the college
- Employment letter showing duration of work
- Birth certificate or notarized affidavit for the date of birth
- School/college certificates and mark sheets
- Proof of current activity
- Form V 39S to be filled in by the sponsor (college)
- Completed Student Application form.
- Payment of visa fee
- A guarantee of accommodation - a written assurance from an educational institution or other person that suitable residential accommodation is available to you in Singapore.
- You must have a clean criminal record.
- Bank Draft for the applicable visa processing fees.
3. Evidence of Funds
- You must have bout SGD 40000 for most degree programmes . You should have original bank statements of the last 28 days.
- An affidavit of support to be given by your sponsors on a Rs.20 stamp paper.
- A work experience certificate.
4. Interview
An interview with the visa officer my be scheduled. The questions they will ask you will only be related to the rules and regulations of Singapore.
5.Medical Examination
The High Commissioner of Singapore requires you to pass a medical exam before you enter Singapore.
If you are found in good health ,the Visa and student authorization will be issued.
6.Points to Consider
It takes three weeks for a Visa approval to come through. An in-principle approval IPA letter is issued with a double leaf visa stamped page and sent to your respective college. You can then travel to Singapore within 30 days of issue of this visa and undergo a basic medical examination at a designated hospital.
